How do I use this address?
Just like any other e-mail address. Use your e-mail client or online e-mail service and send a regular e-mail with your prayer requests, news, and announcements.
Important: you must send your mail using your e-mail address registered on this site (otherwise it will not go through). To see what e-mail is registered with us, and to make changes, if needed, please click here.
Will my message be delivered immediately?
Due to the anti-spam restrictions on our server, your message will be sent at the next bottom of the hour. For example, if you sent your message at 11:15 it will be sent out at 11:30; if you sent your message at 11:32 at will be delivered at 12:30. Thus it might take up to an hour for your message to be sent out.
What if my address has changed?
Please update it by clicking here.
Important: after submitting your updated information, you will be taken to another form. You must complete it as well. The mailing list uses a different database, thus the two forms.
Can I view postings online?
Yes, all messages are available for viewing any time. Click here [login to enable the link] to enter your e-mail address (once again, the one that is registered with us) and click Ok. Instructions will be mailed to you.
Once you've completed the simple instructions, you may login by going to www.stjohnsconover.com/mailgust and clicking on Login link. You will be able to view posting for our list by clicking on it.
Is this address safe?
Yes, only registered members can post to this address. No spam will go through.
Can I send pictures or other attachments?
Yes, but your e-mail will be put on hold and not delivered until it is checked to make sure there is no viruses and scripts in it. If you are forwarding an e-mail, don't forward it as an attachment, unless you want to wait until that is checked out as well.
What format can I use?
Both plain text and HTML format is acceptable. Your e-mail client sends mail using one of the formats (HTML is typically distinguished by using different fonts and colors, plain text is just that). In other words, whatever the format you use, it is acceptable.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, you can. You may unsubscribe any time, and it will not affect your registration with this site. Simply send an e-mail to [login to view the address] with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
